AMB 2010 exceeded all expectations

AMB 2010, the leading industry trade fair in the even years, was a resounding success attracting 1,346 exhibitors and over 86,000 visitors. The event maintained its leading position among the international trade fairs for metal working, largely due to the event‘s relocation to the new trade fairgrounds, the transport infrastructure and the region of Baden-Württemberg.

However, this success is also due to the market-driven trade fair concept presented on 105,700 m² of exhibition space, as well as the impressive programme of events accompanying it. With such a wide spectrum of themes addressed, there really is something here for everyone – from managers to sales reps, from the experienced machine operator to the recent graduate.

In addition to the high economic potential of Baden-Württemberg, the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre and its superb transport connections also contribute to the increasing visitor and exhibitor figures. In particular, the centre‘s direct proximity to the airport. It is now possible to attend AMB in just one day, including arrival and departure, with direct flights to Stuttgart from 112 destinations in 34 countries.

Extremely convenient is the direct connection to the trade fairgrounds from the A8 motorway, the B27 national road, as well as the S-Bahn connections (suburban railway) to Stuttgart‘s main train station and to the city centre. The journey from the city centre to the trade fairgrounds takes approximately 27 minutes.

The 18,000 parking spaces also allow for easy access when at the trade fair, with direct routes into the halls and the areas surrounding them.
